summary
The movie contains some important educational messages, such as not being afraid of failures since you can learn a lot from them, "always keep moving forward", and solving problems in an enlightened way instead of through revenge.
Set in 2037 and 2007, Meet the Robinsons tells the story of Lewis (Jordan Fry) - a brilliant and creative twelve-year-old orphan with a surprising number of clever inventions to his credit. However, most of Lewis' inventions don't work yet, and they get in the way of his adoption efforts because of narrow minded would-be adopters who prefer someone less creative. His latest and most ambitious project is the Memory Scanner, which lets people see their memories. The machine is supposed to help him find his birth mother so they can become a family. However, during the Science Fair where he tries to demonstrate it, the dastardly Bowler Hat Guy (Steve Anderson), a villain from the future, and his atrocious hat, DOR-15 (pronounced "Doris"), sabotage his invention.
The machine causes mayhem and Lewis runs to the orphanage roof top in frustration. While he is gone, the Bowler Hat Guy steals the invention. Lewis has all but given up hope when a mysterious stranger named Wilbur Robinson (Wesley Singerman) whisks our bewildered hero away in a time machine and together they fly into the future. Unfortunately, Lewis gets the idea to fly through time to meet his mother, and tries to drive the time machine. Wilbur objects and they fight.
The machine crashes and breaks on the grass of the Robinsons mansion, and Wilbur convinces Lewis that he must now repair it at the Robinsons Mansion, where Lewis also meets Wilbur's eccentric family and their music band of genetically enhanced singing frogs. Lewis gets attached to the family, and they even offer to adopt them. But when it is revealed that Lewis is from the past, the family says it's impossible for them to adopt him. Lewis runs away in frustration and joins the Bowler Hat Guy.
The Bowler Hat Guy reveals that Lewis is really Wilbur's dad, a famous inventor. The Bowler Hat Guy also reveals that he is actually Goob, Lewis's roommate from the orphanage. He tells Lewis of his terrible childhood after losing a crucial baseball game by falling asleep and blames it on Lewis, who worked every night on the Memory Scanner and made it hard for Goob to get sleep. He also reveals to Lewis that Lewis himself at some time invented Doris (the hat) and then disabled it and locked it up in storage, but didn't know that the hat was still operational and escaped. The Bowler Hat Guy then locks Lewis up and then takes the Memory Scanner back to the past, where he tries to patent it and trick InventCo Inc. to mass produce hats like Doris. But the hats run out of control and the entire future (where Lewis is still locked up) changes to a dark world where the hats rule the world by mind-controlling everyone who wears them, making everyone behave like zombies.
Lewis succeeds to escape and repair the time machine just at the last moment before the hats destroy it, and goes back in time to stop the Bowler Hat Guy at InventCo. He also decides there to never invent Doris, and the hat immediately dissipates into non-existence. Lewis then takes the Bowler Hat Guy with him back to the future and shows him what Doris had caused, just as the ripple effect from the past is in the process of restoring everything back to normal. The Bowler Hat Guy realizes that Doris was not really his friend, and seeks forgiveness.
The Robinsons offer to take the Bowler Hat Guy in, but he can't bring himself to be taken in and runs off. Lewis then meets his future self, and sees his amazing inventions. Lewis understands that he has to go back to the past because none of this will exist if he does not go back in time and create it, but before he goes, his wife tells him to remember that she is always right. Before taking Lewis back to where he belongs, Wilbur goes further back in time and lets Lewis see his real mother, keeping his earlier promise. After Lewis goes back to his time, he wakes Goob up at the baseball field and Goob wins the baseball game, thus granting his roommate a far happier future. He then goes back to the Science Fair and tries out his invention again. This time the memory scanner works, and he is adopted by the Science Fair judge and her husband, who he realizes are the grandparents in the future Robinsons family. Just as he finishes the demonstration, the cute girl who has a display involving frogs tells him that she is always right, and he realizes that this is his future wife, Mrs. Robinson. In the end, Lewis knows that he will have a happy future, and gains confidence to keep moving forward in life.

Woody Stevens (John Travolta), Doug Madsen (Tim Allen), Bobby Davis (Martin Lawrence), and Dudley Frank (William H. Macy) are four successful middle-aged suburban men in Cincinnati who find themselves frustrated with the pace of daily life. Woody is a formerly rich businessman who now finds himself alone and bankrupt. Doug is a dentist who can’t connect with his son and misses his college glory days when he was called “The Golden Knight.” Bobby is a plumber who’s often bossed around by his wife. Dudley is a computer geek who seeks to find a woman in his life. Their one collective hobby has always been to ride together on motorcycles around the city. They even have leather jackets with their biker gang name, “Wild Hogs,” stitched on the back.
After Woody finds out that his marriage is ending in divorce and that he's bankrupt, he suggests that the Wild Hogs embark a cross-country road trip on their bikes to seek adventure. After some hesitation from the three others, the four agree to the trip and set off on their Harley-Davidsons.
The road trip is filled with humorous moments. For example, when they cosily sleep close to each other, scantily dressed, a policeman (John C. McGinley) tells them this is lewd and lascivious behavior, but it turns out that he is only teasing: he is gay and actually jealous. Later the four go skinny dipping, but are very uncomfortable when a family goes swimming. When the family discovers that the four men are naked they feel very uncomfortable too and leave. The policeman appears again; he also undresses and joins the four men, showing sexual interest in them; this makes the four feel uncomfortable again, and now they leave.
The fun soon ends when the foursome stops at a small New Mexico bar and stumbles onto a real motorcycle gang called the Del Fuegos. Del Fuego leader Jack (Ray Liotta) tricks the foursome into a bum motorcycle trade, then tells them they should leave before something else bad happens. The Wild Hogs leave the bar without Dudley’s bike, claiming they are nothing compared to the motorcyclist who founded them- and built the bar- Damien Blade.
Less than a mile away, Woody stops, disgraced at what just transpired. He tells his friends that he will walk back and reason with Jack for the bike. But when Woody gets back to the bar, he builds up his courage and cuts the fuel lines to every gang member’s motorcycle in the parking lot before exiting with Dudley’s bike. He returns to his friends with the bike (to much astonishment) and explains that he simply threatened the gang with legal action should they not turn over the bike. At the nervous Woody’s request, they quickly leave the area. Jack orders his gang to follow the Wild Hogs, but when he errantly tosses a cigarette, it hits gasoline on the ground, which triggers a chain reaction that blows up the entire biker bar. The Del Fuegos swear revenge, getting to work on repairing their vehicles.
Meanwhile, because of Woody’s insistence that they should not stop for any reason, the Wild Hogs run out of gas and are forced to stop in the small town of Madrid, New Mexico, to wait overnight for the fuel station’s opening. The four are first mistaken for actual Del Fuegos and feared. Once the mistake is cleared up, the Madrid Sheriff (Stephen Tobolowsky) tells the Wild Hogs that the Del Fuegos terrorize the town yearly and the small police force-who received police training by beating the video game Doom- is unable to do anything about them.
At a chili festival that night, Dudley meets Maggie (Marisa Tomei) and immediately is smitten with her. As he courts her, Bobby comes across two Del Fuegos in town (who have spotted the Wild Hogs and informed Jack). Thinking himself untouchable, because of Woody’s previous “legal action” explanation, Bobby humiliates the two bikers. Under orders from Jack, the two Del Fuegos refuse to do anything, but instead get humiliated and simply leave the area. The town praises all the Wild Hogs as saviors, thinking them a friendly biker gang who can protect them.
Dudley spends the night with Maggie. The next morning, The Del Fuegos arrive en masse and Jack yells to the townspeople that his gang will slowly destroy the town until the Wild Hogs come out to fight. Woody reveals he lied about the biker bar incident and his friends are disappointed with his deceit. When the Del Fuegos start to wreck Maggie’s diner, Dudley goes out to meet them. The rest of the Wild Hogs arrive to back up Dudley and a four-on-four fistfight begins between four Del Fuego bikers and the Wild Hogs. Easily outmatched, the Wild Hogs are beaten up, but refuse to stay down and see the diner destroyed. With their dignity on the line, they continue to get up and take punch after punch, much to the amazement of Jack. Just then, the townspeople all arrive carrying makeshift weapons and defend their new friends; they demand the Del Fuegos leave the Wild Hogs alone and get out of town. The situation is defused by the arrival of Damien Blade (Peter Fonda), a legendary Southwest biker and founder of the Del Fuegos. Blade chastises Jack and the Del Fuegos for picking on four men and the townspeople, and reveals he actually thought his bar was crap and insured it for twice what it was worth (and we learn that Jack is actually Damien's son). The Del Fuegos, feeling guilty, leave. In a salute to Easy Rider, Blade tells the Wild Hogs that they need to "lose the watches," referring to the scene when, just before departing on their cross-country chopper-born odyssey, Wyatt (Fonda's character), takes off his watch and throws it in the dirt.
Bobby and Doug’s wives arrive in town. Bobby tells his wife that he dislikes her controlling him and the two reconcile. Doug impresses his son by telling him of the adventures. Dudley says he will return to town soon to enjoy time with Maggie. The four head for the Pacific coast.
During the closing credits, a fake episode of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition where the Del Fuegos are given a brand new bar is shown. Jack holds back tears unsuccessfully.

Following the unsolved murder of Grace, one of her childhood friends, New York City newspaper reporter Rowena Price (Halle Berry) decides to go undercover to investigate the case herself. Her search leads her on a chase through the darkest corners of the Internet as she observes her primary suspect, multi-millionaire Harrison Hill (Bruce Willis). As a CEO of a powerful advertising company, Hill is a very respected and public individual, but that helps Rowena keep a close eye on him. As she jumps between various on-line and real-life personalities, she searches for any signs of guilt or weakness in her subject. With the help of an IT wiz and hacker named Miles Haley (Giovanni Ribisi) and using the anonymity of the Internet to her advantage, she hopes to finally achieve some justice as she tracks down the killer online.
Or so it seemed. At the end the film reveals that Price has killed Grace and that her "investigations" were all an elaborate scheme to frame Willis for the murder (successfully, he has been convicted). Haley discovers this and asks her what he gets in return for not reporting her, she then stabs him and knocks the kitchen equipment over, as well as plant a bottle of belladonna in his pocket, she then proceeds to call the police and tell them that the police have the wrong guy, as she too was about to be killed (she was lying, of course). we then see through the window that their neighbor had witnessed the whole thing and was watching in awe.

A group of Persian messengers arrive at Sparta, demanding Sparta's submission to King Xerxes. Outraged and offended at their behavior, King Leonidas and his guards throw the messengers into a pit, resolving to face the Persians. Leonidas then visits the Oracle, explaining his plan of war with the Persians and offers a customary payment in gold. The priests of the Oracle, the Ephors having already been bribed by Xerxes, interpret her message to mean that Sparta should not go to war, so as to not interrupt the sacred Carneian festival.
King Leonidas fighting soldiers of the Persian Empire
Despite the warning, Leonidas gathers 300 of his best soldiers to fight the Persians, selecting only those who have already sired male children, so that their family name can continue even after their death. As they march North, they are joined by a group of Arcadians and other Greeks. Arriving at the narrow cliffs of Thermopylae (referred to as the "Hot Gates"), in sight of the Persian army, they build a wall to halt the Persians' advance. Ephialtes, a hunchbacked Spartan whose parents had fled to save him from customary infanticide, approaches Leonidas, requesting to redeem his father's name in battle, and warning him about a secret goat path that the Persians could use to surround them. Leonidas turns him away as his inability to properly hold the shield would create a weak spot in the phalanx.
Before the battle starts, the Persians ask that the 300 drop their arms. Leonidas responds; "Persians! Come and take them!" The Spartans use the phalanx formation and hand to hand combat to fight off numerous waves of attackers including Xerxes's elite guard, the Immortals. The 300 defend their position while suffering relatively few losses. Xerxes, impressed, personally approaches Leonidas and promises him wealth and power in exchange for his surrender. The Spartan king declines, saying that he will instead make the "God King" bleed. Shortly thereafter, an embittered Ephialtes reveals the location of the goat path to Xerxes, having been promised a lucrative and powerful position in the Persian Empire.
Xerxes encourages Leonidas to surrender
Back in Sparta, Queen Gorgo, upon the advice of a councilman, attempts to enlist the influential Theron to help her persuade the Spartan council to send reinforcements to Leonidas. Theron agrees to help, but demands that Gorgo submit sexually to him; Gorgo reluctantly consents. Meanwhile, the Greeks realize that Ephialtes has betrayed them, and the Arcadians decide to retreat in the face of certain death. The Spartans refuse to follow, obedient to their law. Leonidas orders only one man, Dilios, to retreat and use his rhetorical skills to tell the story of the 300 to the Spartan people, ensuring that they be remembered. Dilios reluctantly leaves with the Arcadians. At Sparta, Queen Gorgo appears in front of the council, but is not supported by Theron, who furthermore accuses her of adultery. The Queen, enraged at this betrayal, snatches a sword from a nearby soldier and kills Theron. Persian coins fall from his purse, the Council denounces him as a traitor, and unites against Persia.
At Thermopylae, the Persians have surrounded the 300 on all sides. Xerxes's spokesman demands their surrender, saying that Leonidas may keep his title as King of Sparta and become warlord of all Greece, answerable only to Xerxes. In defiance, Leonidas throws his spear at Xerxes, cutting his cheek, delivering on his promise to "make the 'God King' bleed." Shaken at the reminder of his own mortality, Xerxes orders his archers to fire. The remaining Spartans are killed in the hail of arrows, with Leonidas dying last. Dilios eventually returns to Sparta and inspires the council with the bravery of the 300.
Dilios finishes his tale of the 300 on a new battlefield surrounded by raptly listening soldiers. He concludes that the Persian army, who defeated a mere 300 Spartans a year earlier with great difficulty, must now be terrified to face 10,000 Spartans and 30,000 Greeks from the other city-states. The roused Greek host charges the Persian army, beginning the Battle of Plataea.
